Keeping Children Safe In Sport

The BTC and Bristol Taekwondo is supporting the NSPCC ‘Keeping Children Safe in Sport’ campaign.

Always check if the club or organisation is accredited or affiliated to a body (e.g. a sports governing body), as this should mean they have the right safeguarding policies and procedures in place. Even if they’re accredited,

British Taekwondo Council Director

Grandmaster Davies was one of the founding members of the UK Taekwondo Development Council (UKTDC) and remains as its Secretary General and Executive Director. We fought for a number of years to break a monopoly situation and to become members of The National Governing Body which is the British Taekwondo Council (BTC). After this was achieved Grandmaster Davies represented the UKTDC for the whole time on the BTC Membership Committee. This has now changed where Grandmaster Davies has as of 1st April been appointed as one of the directors of the BTC and will sit on the management committee, his previous position on the Membership Committee is now being undertaken by Grandmaster Nigel Hudson. The previous Directors will remain on the Management Committee for a number of months to enable a smooth transition.
