3 key outcomes
The key outcomes that Parents in Sport Week aims to achieve are:
Bristol Taekwondo club is now listed on the BBC Get Inspired website which promotes a variety of activities.
Following on from the recent exposure of Taekwondo in the Olympic Games we hope that it will encourage more people of various ages to take up Taekwondo.
Improve your fitness, co-ordination, balance, flexibility, concentration, gain confidence and make new friends in a safe and friendly environment.
Taekwondo is not just an activity for the young, as you will see in the photo above, 58yr old Master Chris Davies practicing his kicking/stretching.
Bristol Taekwondo School has now attained Sport England Clubmark status.
Clubmark is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports clubs.
It stands for:
1. Higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management in community sports club
2. Making sure the nation’s sports club infrastructure is safer, stronger and more successful
It shows that a club provides the right environment which ensures the welfare of members and encourages everyone to enjoy sport and stay involved throughout their lives.
An accredited club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages as well as helping parents and carers know that they’re choosing the right club for their young people.

Congratulations to Stephanie and Charlotte on their promotions to 1st Dan and to Bobby on his successful promotion to 3rd Dan. All three seen here receiving their Kukkiwon certificates from the world headquarters in Korea, presented by Master Chris Davies.
The Kukkiwon has now amended the rights of all Taekwondo Masters to help improve standards and to ensure that Kukkiwon practitioners are provided a means of cooperation and partnership with all other Kukkiwon practitioners.
All Kukkiwon certified Masters of 4th Dan and above will now have to pass multi-level examiner courses to allow them to conduct Kukkiwon dan promotions. After attaining their examiner licence they are then eligable to recommend up to 2nd dan and become a possible examiner on a grading panel.
The changes will take effect from 1st January 2016.
